The combination of our values and our experience drives us to strike a balance between the needs of the occupants and the surrounding community. We give back to the community, because we are part of the community.

Ricky Stuart Foundation

The Ricky Stuart Foundation was setup in 2011 with the support of PwC to help Ricky Stuart achieve his goals in raising awareness for autism after his daughter, Emma Ruby Stuart, was diagnosed with autism at the age of 9. Their core mission is to drive autism wellbeing and raise much needed awareness and funds to support families affected.

The Ricky Stuart House was the first respite house for autism in Canberra, providing short term respite for families of children with disability, offering a choice of respite options suitable for individual family needs and circumstances, in an NDIS environment.

The Emma Ruby House was the second respite house built by The Ricky Stuart Foundation, designed to support teenagers with autism and other disabilities.

Amalgamated was proudly a significant contributor to the inception of this foundation and provides ongoing financial support.

Kulture Break

Established in 2002, Kulture Break is an organisation committed to the wellbeing, transformation and empowerment of young people in the community. Using the Arts as a way of engaging with young people in a safe and active environment, children and teenagers are able to express themselves, be empowered and transform themselves as individuals – to enable young people to believe in themselves and live a life with purpose.

Kulture Break conducts dance classes, mentoring and social skilling programs, as well as tailored workshops, seminars, motivational talks and performances for schools, government agencies and community organisations across Australia and internationally.

Since its inception, Kulture Break has engaged with over 400,000 young people in schools, jails and communities all over the world.

Amalgamated’s development manager, Michael D’Elboux, has been a volunteer with the group for many years.

RAW Potential

Amalgamated is an ongoing sponsor of this organisation whose mission it is to empower disadvantaged youth. Receiving no government funding, RAW has relied on donations to help them support vulnerable children in the ACT since its inception in 1986.

RAW Potential provides non-judgmental support and opportunities to vulnerable children to help break the cycle of poverty and assist in steering them towards a future to realise their potential. Many of the kids that it supports have had a raw deal in life and are emotionally raw from their experiences – RAW helps by connecting them with specialist services, assisting with their communications (eg. writing skills & resumes), positive role modelling and demonstrating that to find solutions in life, considerable lengths of time and effort may need to be input to achieve satisfactory outcomes.

Amalgamated was a lead sponsor of the RAW Potential Long Lunch fundraiser in 2019 which raised funds for a new van to expand the mobile outreach program.
