The name Amaya might mean ‘night rain’, but the latest residential development by Amalgamated Property Group (APG) shone at this evening’s Master Builders and CBUS Excellence in Building Awards.
Amaya is an elegant development in Griffith, one of Canberra’s most historic suburbs, close to the amenity of Manuka and Kingston and only a short distance from Lake Burley Griffin.
Set out over seven individual buildings, the modern design principles behind Amaya perfectly complement the traditional elements of the area. Each building rises only two to three storeys to harmonise with the existing landscape.
The luxurious 1, 2, and 3 bedroom apartments and penthouses have been designed to provide an exceptional level of accessibility and flexibility, allowing for ease of living over time with lifts to each floor, wide corridors and doorways, large rooms, functional kitchens and bathrooms, and large fully enclosed garages.
Amaya took out the Apartments and Units up to 3 Storeys category at the 2016 Excellence in Building Awards.
“Construction is an important industry for Canberra and the nation,” APG General Manager, Phil O’Brien said. “So it is nice to have opportunities like the Master Builders Awards to reflect on all the sector has achieved over the last 12 months.
“All of the award winners demonstrate the commitment and high calibre of our industry and I congratulate each of them.”
